At this point, is beyond question that the electing the Democratic Party's candidates in 2026 and '28 is the only path to saving this country. It will not be easy, but failing to do so would be a heck of a lot harder and more painful.

Per the Great Starvation: I shall refer to British historian Robert Kee's documenting how much food was exported from a port in Cork on a single November day in 1848, for that port was the closest to my extended family at the time. 147 bales of bacon; 120 casks and 135 barrels of pork; 5 casks of ham; 300 bags of flour; 300 head of cattle; 239 sheep' and 542 crates of eggs. That's quite a bit for one day.

I remember maybe 40 years ago, Onondaga Faithkeeper Oren Lyons say that people should study his people's experiences, because they are what we would face when the government/ruling class turned on the people. I'd add the Irish experience, because they depended on us to win the Civil War. Their theft makes joining the military seem the only option for many a young man.
