80,000,000 Democrats each giving $5 PLUS the big donors giving what they can on top of that.

That would do the trick, too. We can’t very well tell 268 rich guys to shoulder the whole party on their own, if we’re not going to at least show some token solidarity. Why should they “step up” if we won’t?
