I live in southern Florida, which is quite urban and a broad mix of ethnicities and politics.

Ironically, the so-called "Deep South" is hundreds of miles north of me.

For a few years, I lived in the Deep South.

They hate liberals and Democrats. It's how they are raised. They view us as the children of savages rolling in the mud at Woodstock. They hate that view of America.

It's like that line from the movie "Easy Rider" ... "They hate us because we are free."

If they would spend a little time on DU, they might change their minds. But they listen to Fox news and hate radio.

A lot of the news about what Trump does and information about the problems of the world never reaches their ears.
