2. This article is so refreshing to read. The founding fathers were not gods or inspired by them.

The real history of America is that America was founded by people in many ways based on their self-interests. The history that we are taught is really nothing more than a positive narrative that pretty much exclude the bad parts.

I think the most impressive thing about our founding fathers is that based on their own experiences and grievances they gave us a path to make things betters and we have in many ways but it is sometimes two steps forward and then one step backwards.

The real truth is that until 1965 America was not even close to being a democracy for a large portion of its citizens. We have a way to fix it if we chose - I hope we chose to do so while we still can.
