5. I found a turtle once, brought him home

Escaped before I could feed him in the morning 😭
Heartbroken second grader. I'd crawled through an electric fence to get $1 of penny candy found a turtle on my way home
Lived near an irrigation ditch
Yep, no enclosure was gonna hold him/her. I was so bummed
But, had a 100 pieces of penny candy to soothe my broken heart. Sigh
