on Trump's motivation for speeches about communism.

He is motivated by Mamdani and the recent DSA wins in the primaries. So he is labeling them as communists and extending the label to all Dems to discredit us.

But he is also linking that to Cuba, a communist nation. He has long wanted to attack and take over Cuba. There are businesses and perhaps still even some mobsters who want to get back into Cuba, where they had free reign under Batista.

I believe that it is a Trump goal to boost his labeling of Dems as communists and himself as an anti communist hero by invading and taking over Cuba. As anti communist hero for liberating Cuba, he hopes to pose himself as a defender of the US against "communist Dems" in order to defeat Dems in the midterms.

He believes that he can solve several problems at once by invading Cuba. One is to distract from his disastrous failure in Iran. Cuba is militarily weak. US forces could probably pull off another invasion like in Venezuela. That would give him an image of success to promote as a counter to the failure in Iran.

He also thinks that he can solve the midterm problem by invading Cuba. He has laid the groundwork for labeling Dems as communists because of DSA primary wins. Once he has "liberated" Cuba he can then turn to the midterms with calls to defeat "Dem party communists" at home.

So I think that the invasion of Cuba will be soon since we are already in July now. He will want to have the defeat and control of Cuba wrapped up in time for the midterms.
