... (Denver Developmental Screening Test), which looks at various fine and gross motor, cognitive and speech skills that kids should achieve at various times, one of the fine motor skills was called "rakes raisin."

Starting at about 6 months, if an infant is presented with a raisin (or other small object). they don't yet have the thumb-and-forefinger pincer grasp and will use 4 finger to "rake" the object toward them and pick it up that way. This maneuver looks just like what Pedo Don was doing.
