7. Homan needs to be dragged before Congress to explain how this happened

Yesterday

A person is dead, for goodness sake!

This is negligence at a level that verges on criminal.

Who were the hiring managers in that area that approved this guy?
What were the procedures for hiring and background checks?
What did his immediate supervisor and trainers know about his background?

If I was running a daycare and hired a person with a background of hitting children - either knowing their background or through negligent hiring practices - and the person hit some children in my daycare, I would very likely be prosecuted. I would certainly be held civilly liable at a minimum.

People have to lose their jobs over this, and not just Brouilette. Everyone involved in the design and implementation of this hiring procedure needs to be investigated and fired. A human being is dead as a result of this negligence.
