that it's their own behavior that makes people despise them. In their minds it's the people who do despise them that are the "sicko criminals."

It's sad in a way because it is a mental illness, that usually can't be helped. The person suffering from it won't accept there is anything wrong with them and won't seek out mental health treatment.

The people who are manipulating his madness for their own benefits are even more despicable than he is.
