that the MN state Legislature is almost equally divided, with the DFL only having a 1-seat majority in each chamber.

Here in PA, we have that same situation with our state House where (D)s have a 1-seat majority (and the past couple years, we kept losing (D)s to resignations or deaths and got into an endless cycle of special elections).
