3. I've been watching for the last few days for a notice about when my

November DoD retirement annuity check will be posted, and sweating it out anxiously. But I've still got several friends, including my closest ones who are DoD civilians. So far, they've been able to handle the furlough issues because they began putting money into a special account when the last furlough ended. I mean, these furloughs are becoming a yearly thing, it seems to us. My other best friend works as a private contractor on a DoD contract, and that muddies the water where he's concerned. My coworkers husband works for a special section of the IRS and just found out during the No Kings weekend that he *should* be retaining his position... at least for a while.

No man should have so much power over people's lives like this. He needs to be taken out back of the woodshed, as my Dad used to say.
