When I was prescribed opiates for chronic pain, I was given a naloxone device immediately, and got another one a year later in the mail. Now I am asked at every appointment of if I want to take one (I still have the old ones). That has been standard practice at two different VA hospitals.

I think it’s standard in most of the VA- part of a big review and recommendations from a few years ago.
