It is a matter of taking into account that the supply chain takes 10 more days and 25% more fuel to do that. This extra cost eventually gets absorbed into the whole supply chain, raising the cost to ship goods by a few percent. This beats being moored at the entrance of the Strait of Hormuz waiting for authorization to go through or cessation of hostilities.
