Palestinians in Gaza City are reporting massive infestations of rodents, as life in the displacement tents has become increasingly brutal.

Some of them had their limbs gnawed by rats, were left bleeding and are at risk of disease.

“Before the summer, we want mercy. Have mercy on us from the rodents. We have children and elderly people,” said Enshrah Haggag, a diabetic displaced woman living in a modest tent in Gaza City.

Two of her toes were gnawed by a rat while she was asleep, and she woke up to a pool of blood..."
