4. The Biden-approved funding for stage 3 clinical trials for Moderna's mRNA H5N1 Avian flu vax have been halted.

$590 million for the ONLY vaccine that will be able to scale up IN TIME if H5N1 mutates to allow person-person and thus pandemic spread potential. While there are three companies with a small amount of avian flu vaccine made using standard egg inoculation techniques, those will go on day 1 and there is no way to rapidly scale up--not to mention all the people with egg allergies who cannot receive vaccine produced using this method.

I was indirectly involved in advising/overseeing one of the many US clinical trial enrollment centers and we have only been told to halt enrollment for now.

There hasn't been any media update since the announcement that TSF is "reviewing," but it doesn't look good. Along with many vaccines for infectious diseases, this will decimate the emerging world of cancer vaccines that can be tailored to an individual's tumor using mRNA techniques. Everyone here should be desperately worried.
