Our parents grew up hungry during the depression.
Fought in WWII, Korea.
Our generation fought in VN.

We appreciated the peace and prosperity of the 50's and onward.
Our parents and grandparents took being a citizen seriously.
Took civic duty seriously, read the paper, kept up with events.
...they were careful about choosing their leaders.

The younger people took it all for granted.
Thought it would always be there.
They could indulge their hatred, anger, self centeredness and ignorance.
Or didn't care. Some even thought a Russian style govt would be great.

Trump only exists because enough people love him and support his criminality.
