but no one is obligated to donate.

However, beware of PACS. A lot of the spam texts are from PACS of dubious origins. For instance, I just got a text from "No surrender fund" asking for money to fight Dump. Who the heck are these people? No idea. Don't donate to anyone you have heard of before.

Just donate directly to campaigns if you donate.
