6. Another stab in the dark trying to explain why Harris lost in 2024.

We need an honest and transparent evaluation, explaining why 10% of those who voted for Biden in 2020 stayed home in 2024. We lost because we are still playing old line party politics, which rewards people because of the influence they have, and who they know, not what they can do. The plan was always to announce, after midterms, that Biden would not seek re-election, opening the field. If the party had nominated Harris, she'd have had plenty of time to campaign and win, and she would have. But we lost the confidence of a lot of younger voters because the process looked and smelled like old line party leadership setting themselves up to stay in office.

Admit that, and the need for new candidates and leadership, and I'm on board.

And why do we have to "push." Unless we abandon this partisan game playing, and get out in front of this, any fix will be temporary because those elected, once back in the majority, will foot drag all the way to self-preservation oblivion. We need leaders who will work without caring about the next election, and when they do that, and are committed, they won't have to worry about getting elected. It will happen.
