OK, Cheer Me Up [View all]

25 years ago "a dentist" pulled one of my molars, up top. A couple of months ago that area became infected. It turns out "that dentist" left behind a part of the tooth he had pulled.

At 11 AM today my periodontist is going to remove the piece of tooth that wasn't pulled.

I have been going to this periodontist for years. The hygienists there clean my teeth. I got to be friendly with the doctor there. He beat some serious cancer a few years ago. He knows I don't have dental insurance so he cuts me a break, only charges me $40 for my cleaning, once in a while $80, and is only going to charge me $380 for my procedure today. He did tell me that I will get stitches.

Now, a month ago I promised my grandson that I would go to his school that is putting on a fundraiser which is a spaghetti dinner, and he will be a server. Oh dear, I am either going to have to cut up my spaghetti in little pieces or inhale it. This fund raiser is April 8th.

I feel that I am lucky and as the Buddhists say, "This too will pass."
