34. The office in red, dead Texas where my sister is a nurse practioner

has about 30 workers. Only my sister and a couple of others are solidly blue. There are probably a dozen "in the middle", in other words they aren't really concerned if it doesn't affect them personally. The rest are far right maga. A half dozen or so are from México or still have family there. My sister says that they are definitely on edge. The practice has a fair number of patients who only speak Spanish and they rely on family members or staff for translation. Besides my sister only one other staff member who isn't at risk of sudden deportation has any Spanish at all. My sister is on the verge of retirement. The doctors, who are all raging maga, are going to end up having to pay for a phone translation service most likely.
