33. Try thinking about finding new homes for 7 cats and a dog the size of a great dane!

That's keeping 2 cats with me and letting the others go? Nah... can't do it. I'll muddle along and if when I can get enough saved up maybe I can hire someone to help me clean house. I AM beginning to look at those meal plans, tho... I need to do a cost analysis as to what they'd cost a week vs TV dinners and a from scratch meal once or twice a week. IOW, I really need to sit down, think quietly, and come up with how I can make "retirement" life easier on my body and mind.

We had to put down our Border Collie a few years ago. He was SO old, and in such pain from his rear legs and hips and spine... but when I saw him fall backwards off the couch as he was trying to jump up onto it, I knew then it couldn't wait any longer. Still, I think hubby and I zombie walked through the whole vet visit. Intellectually I knew it was the right thing to do, but damn... letting that dog go was one of the hardest things I ever did in my life.
