Starting with pumping gas. You make a great observation and I truly believe it's generational training of the Ayn Rand Fountainhead/Atlas Shrugged type of conditioning of Objectivism. Only through the individual can one be successful. And capitalists want us to be individually isolated and thereby easier to market to. With cell phones and SM we're almost there. We're almost just individual pixel's on a screen inputting and outputting on command. To associate with another pixel or group of pixels is a violation of the social fabric. I think its an observation Terry Gillam was trying to present in the movie The Zero Theorem which I, unlike many, loved. Anyway lol...
Merry Xmas!
