because I know of a few instances where, if the boyfriend and the cat didn't get along or if he didn't like cats, the cat had to go. My half-sister's boyfriend didn't like cats, so she gave her cat up. A woman at work had a friend whose boyfriend didn't like cats, so she re-homed the cat. Me, I would re-home the boyfriend. Sound harsh? My cats live here; this has been their home for over 14 years and I wouldn't give them up for anyone, not even a young Al Pacino. Besides, my philosophy has always been: love me, love my cats. And that's not negotiable.

I like knowing that there are people in the world who, because they love their partner, would do their best to get along with their partner's pets, like the young man in the video. I never got involved with one, but I still like to know such people exist.
