George Clooney and Julia Roberts led the parade:

Incredibly good musicians, whose names I didn't catch:

Barbra Streisand, checking her notes:

Our First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden:

Jack Black, I think!

Our President:

The Interviews:

The Interviews, continued:

Our President, Continued:

President Obama:

It was a great show! The entertainers were simply incredible and highly professional. The comedians had me laughing like crazy and the President and his President had serious things to talk about.
They were all great.
One thing I realized was how much I miss going to see live theater. The immediacy, the vibrancy, the chance that anything can happen -- all of that was present tonight.
We must all VOTE BLUE!
There were two big screens -- one on each side of the auditorium -- and I was taking the photos from those. My apologies for the artifact from the screens. I don't really know yet how to get rid of that.
On edit: A surprise guest who sat down next to me and talked with me about photography. Who was it?
Here you go:

I had no idea. He mentioned that he'd run for public office. I asked him, which office? He said: The D.A.
I stared at him. And asked him his name.
He said: Gil Garcetti.
OMIGOD! We shook hands. And then I took his photo, which I promised to send him. He said it was OK to post.

I wanted to label the ones I recognized! Some I didn't know. And that was Jimmy Kimmel. nt

Me too. I've recently made it through all seasons of The Closer and its sequel, Major Crimes.

I hadn't known any of that. He sat down next to me because he was curious about my camera.

It was so amazing! Photographing the screens was an extra layer of difficulty. I don't know how, really.

That was so cool. He sat down next to me since he'd spotted my Olympus camera.
