4. I had a Yashica-Mat, and recall taking glorious fall foliage pictures. I am just now scanning the slides.

They are VERY old!

I was going to get a new scanner but with 45 megapixels, I figure that's about all I can get from old slides. One came out very nice.

Your lens is either a triplet or tessar design. Both very fine. Hard to tell which, but being only 3 or 4 elements, you'll get little or no flare, good contrast and fine resolution at f/5.6 or smaller. I'd aim for 5.6 or 8.0.
