It would help science and the world. It would help the state and its ever eternal shortage of revenue and increasing bus fares. Housing and homeless issues. A small boost mostly in tourism perhaps ..but something.

Bigger would MJ legalization. In a state that is dominated by Dems... with my votes... along with native Hawaiin votes . Most of whom I talk to do not care so about the telescope but do dislike the rail..which I also support. I believe they will like it if its ever finished. It will be one hell of a scenic ride and slice through that never ending traffic jam up in mornings and evenings.. (well at least until the ocean rolls in in 60 years) Gov. Ige supports it ..but does not support mj legalization. I think that will change soon...Hawaii mj could be a an export to Canada ..create jobs and revenue. Who has not heard of Maui wowie ? What do we have now pineapples and tourism?

Just my 2 cents.
