Musk calls Columbus OH mayor a "Traitor to America" [View all]

Elon Musk called Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther a "traitor to America" in a Dec. 20 post on X after White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller accused Ginther of "advocating for mass Somali migration."
Stephen Miller, a major architect of Trump's ongoing immigration crackdown, made the comments in a reply to a Dec. 19 video Mayor Ginther posted amid ICE's "Operation Buckeye" in Columbus.
In the video, Ginther says the city does not discriminate against residents based on immigration status and that Columbus police officers will not be used to make ICE arrests. He also offers advice on interacting with federal law enforcement. Ginther does not mention Somali migration.
Musk, the world's richest man and the owner of X, then called Ginther a "traitor to America" in a reply to Miller's post.
Columbus is home to the second-largest Somali population in the country after Minnesota with an estimated 30,000 to 60,000 people. In early December, community leaders rallied around Columbus' Somali community after Trump called Somali immigrants in Minnesota "garbage"he doesn't want in the country.
