Some folks have a hard time accepting that everything that happened in the "New World" wasn't all sanctimonious. The "look the other way party" is basically, and I mean this in the kindest possible way, full of shit.

The bottom line is good Christians burned witches and I find it hard to spin a positive out of that. The other issue is that a lot of people who consider themselves good Christians today are perfectly willing to do the same to others that don't fit their molds. They are stepping out of the pews and rooting for persecution! Their list of potential victims grows daily.
