Along w/ the reduction in manpower suffered over the years by Russian Forces too, the Russian Army is a shell of itself.

What is remaining to stop the complete takeover of Russia by other insiders (not Putin)? Perhaps this is the next step to happen, when an insider in Putin's gang reaches out and settles things once and for all, and ends this conflict finally.
