.....totally unnecessary distraction. Its efficacy is based upon it being disruptive to the bacteria in your mouth and re-mineralizing teeth but you're just treating a symptom. If your diet is in order then your saliva is in order and you don't have tooth decay. Numerous studies among native peoples from Alaska to Switzerland have shown that nutrient-rich organic diets produce very little tooth decay. Modern diets tend to reduce calcium and phosphate levels & intake amongst other activities and that's where the bad saliva comes into play.

If you want to quickly go after the problem, swap all your sugar & aspartame for xylitol (your body actually produces it in very small amounts), an alcohol-based sugar. It has something like 40% fewer calories, uses a ton less insulin, helps prevent ear infections and even re-mineralizes teeth.
