6. I'm pretty sure that what's also happening with this approach

is to not let one's body go into "resting" mode, i.e., getting up every few minutes or so keeps the metabolism in a fat burning mode as opposed to fat storing. Or so I've heard. Anyone else have thoughts on this? Sometimes I just switch between sitting and standing at work to accomplish this, especially if I'm on a long call or writing technical specs that don't let me get away from the desk.
