Clean the kitchen before cooking, mostly for the space as I live in an apartment and counter space is at a premium during cooking. I only have space for one appliance and that HAS to be my countertop convection oven, use it almost every day. It's what I cook all my meat option with because everything comes out perfect... it takes up a little more than 1 square foot of counter but it is an essential item.

The rest is just because I got rid of all but the bare bones for cooking needs before I moved last year. I still don't have regular drinking glasses and regular plates out of the boxes, just coffee mugs and bowls!
