They are both SO happy to have a home. It makes your heart bleed.
They never do anything wrong. They don't ever want to end up in a situation like they were from.
I didn't know what to expect either BUT I have had cats my entire life and the one that was already here was a shelter rescue, very sick and was to be put down the next day. Then I found her in the nick of time. She gave me bump on the cheek and said, "I"LL TAKE HER!".

My cat did that when I first brought him home, I panicked because I couldn't find him!

She was in a very crowded and noisy shelter, so having all this new space to explore must seem very strange.

She went off to explore the house again, and now she's come back to be with us.
