That reminds me of something that happened a few months ago. A friend has a snake. They got her a rat but she wasn’t ready to eat, so they put the rat back in the box with a water dish and some food.

My rule is I cannot see the rat or else I’ll have a new pet. I get that the snake has gotta eat, but I like rats.

Anyhoo, I went back over there a couple days later and the big excitement was that the rat had escaped it’s box and they couldn’t find it. My friend’s daughter is terrified of rats so everyone was on edge. Of course, the next part happened while I was sitting alone at the kitchen table for a few minutes. Something caught my eye. Lo and behold, it was the rat, outside on the deck, running past the sliding glass door!

I described the rat and they said, Yep. That’s it! I’m happy the rat escaped and was outside living it’s best life. Of course, they thought I was just playing around until I described the rat, lol!
