Review of a nice kydex holster.

How about an equipment review thread. I have went from carrying a LCP to my newest G2 (more on the pt111 in another thread)

I picked up one of the OWB kydex holsters equipped with the speed clips (my shell is plain gray) I can't tell you how nice this little holster is with the speed clips. I find myself carrying this new gun a lot more than all my "thread on" leather holsters that I normally buy for my CC pistols. It holds close to the side and allows me to conceal a little larger gun with more capacity.

I tried kydex holsters about 6 or 7 years back, and at that time most were "taco" style with paddles or belt loops. I invested in a press, bandsaw, oven, and all the other tools and parts necessary to build holsters. After building a few I decided it was easier just to buy one. Then I discovered leather pancake holsters. Ummmmm leather.

So it took a while but I decided to give Kydex another shot and really love this product. I can't say enough great things about the customer service.


At the range I practiced drawing and beating down the plates, the speed clips didn't disappoint. They hold great and do their job well. I'm thinking of picking up another OWB rig for my p220.
