I spent awhile using the mouse almost exclusively because the fact that I was using the mouse to control a SF fighter was giving me crazy TIE Fighter flashbacks and I didn't want to let go of that feeling right away.

I love how most people in dogfights in that game go straight for the deck instead of maneuvering at altitude - it's like the opposite of the best idea for survival but always makes for incredible treetop-height-or-below chases. I'm pretty sure I've had guys just lead me on for awhile for the fun of the dodging things or seeing what the most ridiculous obstacle we could fly under was.

I'm one of the eight gamers in North America without a proper headset/mic setup. I should probably change that sometime soon; PS2 gives me a lot less of a "twitchy annoying fuckhead" vibe in that department than a typical FPS would.
