Evangelicals demand justice for christian missionary killed by tribesmen. [View all]
TL;DR
An illegal immigrant crossed a closed border with full intent to destroy the country and complete negligence about the deadly and infectious diseases he carried. After ignoring several warning-shots by the border-guards and refusing to leave, he was eventually killed.
The Sentinel Island, off the coast of India, contains a tribe with a unique culture. They are the last people on Earth with a pre-neolithic (-> early Stone-Age) culture. These people and their culture are a priceless historical artifact of mankind's history.
They do not have any contact with the outside world. It is absolutely illegal to go there.
A christian missionary thought that these unspoiled, isolated people are an outpost of Satan and he went there to destroy their culture and convert them to Christianity.
The first time he paddled there, they chased him off by shooting arrows.
The second time he paddled there, they killed him.
1. He broke indian law by going there.
2. He broke international law by going there, because Sentinel Island counts legally as a sovereign nation.
3. At least in civil law there's the principle that you can't sue somebody for stupid shit you do if you were told not to do that stupid shit.
4. He went there with the intent to destroy their culture.
5. He most probably subjected these people to modern-day germs and illnesses they have no immunity against.
To some people that sounds like yet another example of Christians being oppressed.
