And abortion isn't just the only possible outcome.

So sure--take home holy water, put some dust from the floor a church in it, and call that the abortifacient. You know, that's not what anybody's saying. They may say to use the "Bible approved way" but then they flip and say to use their own approved way that's pretty much 99.9% effective.

Of course if the priestly way works, then we know the woman's been cheating on her husband and the adultery's being punished.

I mean, this has so many assumptions at odds with what most believe as to be ridiculous, along with exceptions and exemptions and caveats. There's a straw somewhere in there to be grasped at, dammit.

It also ignores the fact that the levitical priesthood's long since discontinued and can't be resurrected without first going through a pretty huge ME war, even if a lot of kohanim still claim ancestry (and some genetic markers might indicate they're not all wrong ... emphasis on 'might'). I doubt that the Levites would have looked at Catholic priests, say, and pronounced them Levitical.
