These gas prices are almost as bad as the job market: Michigan gas prices surge 33 cents to highest point since 2023 [View all]

Michigan gas prices surge 33 cents to highest point since 2023, AAA says

Gas prices in Michigan exploded 33 cents a gallon in the past week to hit their highest point in two and a half years, according to AAA-The Auto Club Group.

The average price of $3.92 a gallon is the highest since August 2023, but a little lower than the national pump price of $3.96, according to AAA.

It is $1.07 more than a month ago and 74 cents higher than the same time in 2025, officials said.

Motorists in the state are paying an average of $59 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline, AAA reported.
