I'll bring it up with my UU pastor next time I see her. There is quite a hotbed of pet lovers among us, and there has been talk of a "pet support group" for members who become unable to care for their pets. This would fit in wonderfully, especially given the church's interest in assisting a women's residential 12-step program.
