5. We moved to a new ad provider today

As part of that process, my understanding of what's going on right now is that the ads are sort of resetting because we've switched ad networks, and it will take a few days for things to readjust and (in theory) be more appropriate for the site, or at least for the person viewing the site.

It is technically possible for me to block certain advertisers, but I don't want to at the moment because as mentioned we literally just switched over today, and I don't really want to screw with things on the back end until we've gone through this transition period.

That said, I will also say that while we can block advertisers for any reason we like, I'm not necessarily going to automatically block advertisers for political reasons. That's never been DU policy -- generally speaking our feeling has always been that if entities like the New York Post want to give us money to advertise to people who aren't interested in their product, that's kinda their problem.
