6. Just read his insistance that SS is going away,

immediately! Right now!

Okay, so today is only March 30, and so who knows what will happen April 1. But I'm guessing all the SS deposits will go out as always, and there will be mumbling about the May checks not arriving. But really?

Do none of those in charge have an elderly mother or grandmother who depends on SS? I'm guessing they are all hearing from those mothers and grandmothers, who are carefully explaining that, unlike Musk's mother-in-law, they really, seriously, could NOT get along without the SS.

I am apparently the only person in North America who always understood that SS was only intended to make up about a third of our retirement income, and so I saved diligently when I was working. I know, saving some money rather than spending every penny and then going into debt, is a novel concept.
