1. There is little profit motive for the western media to paint islam as anything other than

a dangerous, extremist ideology.

In the West, particularly the US, the media, nearly every last stinking form of it, is entirely profit-driven. Controversy sells ad space, and column inches. Fear sells. Hate sells.

Don't look to the media to squelch reporting about a dangerous minority, in favor of reporting about a moderate majority.

That shit don't sell newspapers.
