1. Is the poem by Emma Lazarus simply a memory from the past?....

"Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

For me, it is obvious we are a declining nation. Continuing tolerance for mediocrity has destroyed our once proud nation. Not sure if we can put it back together again?
