18. Texas Powerhouse

Texas seems to generate a horde of men and women with plans to restrict rights and simple freedoms like zero abortions and almost Nazi like control of reading material in libraries and schools. My wife is the local library director and has set aside room to have banned books availble for check out in the adult section. Texas libraries are locally funded (city, county,etc) so the state has no control over them. The Texas Library System is a joke and provides no operational funding.
There is an organization that you might want to check out. It is called MAGA -- Mothers Against Greg Abbott. I joined and give them a little donation from time to time. These clever women sent me a MAGA t-shirt that is MEN Against Greg Abbott. This organization fights for freedom minded political candidates on the local level and also state and federal offices. I live in a very small town in a very low population area so opportunities to campaign are not available. I think we have about 7 people in the Democrat party and we are all ancient!
This organization provides people like me to participate in campaigns. It is worth your time to check out this organization.
