54. This might be a white mutiny

in its modern sense.

There are historical definitions, but over the last few decades, I've heard a modern meaning. It's when the boss is an incredibly egotistical moron who won't listen to anybody. (Sound familiar?) They are insisting on some course of action that will result in some form of disaster and won't accept any data or advice that indicates otherwise.

The white mutineer, having had enough, steps back and says 'Ok, we'll do it your way". And does absolutely everything they're directed to do, to the letter, while documenting every single direction from this incompetent dweeb. The results are entirely predictable and the boss ends up with egg on their face. With any luck, they have bosses of their own who will not be happy. At minimum, they'll be a laughingstock among their peers.

It can be very satisfying.
