I didn't see the names of the states, but my bet it is along a blue/red divide.

Seems like they are shooting themselves in the foot here.

They are pissing on their own voters to try to get compassionate liberal Democrats to give in.

How despicable is that?

Giving in to them would be a mistake. It just empowers them to refuse to negotiate on anything.

Shit's bad, and it is going to get worse.
