I suppose it has been hard for so many of us to believe that any group of people could be this rotten to the core and to actually get away with it. I'm not sure it is necessarily naive, especially being so many of us have warned about the possibility of such people taking over for a long time.
As much as I knew it could happen, I didn't think Trump and his cronies to do it so quickly and brutally.
