regarding the wisdom of the average American voter and that's a good thing. I'm 62 and with luck I'll see some positive durable change before I croak - but probably not. That our so-called guardrails and balance of power (lol) were so fragile makes me feel like even worse shit is waiting down the road. I try to be optimistic, but honestly, I'm telling my kids they need to get whatever portable skills and language acquisition they are able and get the hell out of Dodge. While I'm not religious, I do believe that the universe doesn't reward stupid societies - and often it's quite the opposite.
