Your post sounded so familiar. In 22 before our 50th, my husband was in horrible shape. Long story and we almost lost him 3 times. Coding etc. Hospitalized for 75 days. The dementia, hard of hearing, etc. etc. all played a part. He is here and good to go now at 79. It was a miracle. Wishing you a miracle too.

Kidney infection can cause dementia symptoms - be sure they check for this.
